Coaching and Communication

A Harvard Business Review in 2002 found that 87% of business issues are due to the lack of inter-personal communication skills, not the competence of the parties. Coaching is particularly effective in improving communication within an organisation and between people. Good communicators listen carefully and think about what the speaker is saying, without being distracted by their own agenda.

If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head.
If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart. Nelson Mandela

Coaching and Change Management

Change involves moving out of the comfort zone and, above all, wanting to change. The key influence is attitude. People and organisations that cannot cope with change become overstressed and try to return to where they were and what they know. Their comfort zone shrinks and their capacity to cope with further change is eroded. Change can be uncomfortable, but coaching is effective in helping organisations and individuals manage it.

It’s not the strongest of the species that survive, or the most intelligent,
but the one most responsive to change.” Charles Darwin
